ZigBee connects but no response from remote key presses

Hello,

I have just got hold of a secondhand Bioloid Premium. The remote control did work but now it seems to no longer operate the robot, does anyone have any suggestions what it might be?

The led in the Zig 110 unit (in the robot) blinks until I turn on the remote control at which time it becomes a steady red light so they are binding I think. Resetting the ID in Roboplus manager to anything other than the ID number printed on the Zig 100 and they do not bind.

I downloaded the bioloid_prem_A task file and loaded that into the cm510 and all seems to work when testing from Robomotion. In the code I can see the functions written to respond to the remote and when I switch on and press the U D L or R buttons on the cm510, the robot behaves as expected so the code is operating as I expect and dont suspect the problem is here.

When I click the RC-100 icon in Roboplus manager I can send 'virtual' button presses from the command module and the robot behaves as expected.

I am quite puzzled and I guess there cant be too many things left apart from defunct hardware, or am I missing some important point? I dont have a Zig2Serial to connect the Zig 100 directly to the PC, even if I did, would this be able to tell me anything or offer any other configuration options?

Oh, forgot to mention, new batteries in the RC-100 too, so it isnt that either...

Thanks for the link Billy, it helped me out big time

It wouldnt work because the PC lead was plugged in

- that isnt documented anywhere as far as I know apart from your post

who would have thought that was what it was...

Really appreciate the help buddy...
