I did take a look at this board and decided against it due to the price and the weight of unwanted features. Also I wanted to run my AX12+ at 12V, which the board does not appear to support directly.

The two most popular linux boards seem to be the Roboard and the Gumstix. There are some new alternatives to Gumstix, see the post here:

Roboard has built in AX12 support, Gumstix or similar is more powerfull, but needs USB2Dynamixel for AX12 interface.

Ok, i-bot ,
but when i ask about the Uptech MultiFLEX2-PXA270 and Roboard they told me:

"The RoBoard single board computer is intended to mate perfectly with the Kondo humanoid robot, while the Uptech MultiFLEX2 is intended to be used with the Bioloid product line."[/b]

I'am confused
:( [/b]

I don't know who "they" are in your post. Can they show you a working Bioloid with Multiflex ? How is that better than normal Bioloid for the increased price (moves, video, network) ?

I know Uptech have some very good products, but have no experience of their support or the support of their Western distributors. While the Multiflex is designed closely to the Bioloid, I am surprised by some of the limitations especially voltage range.

Roboard does work in Bioloid, and the support of Roboard through Robosavvy is very good

Gumstix is used by "gods " of Robotis community often with RX or AX servos !

No linux board will be without challenges, so ask for help here.

If you are using Multiflex, I hope you report experience here too.
