What are you actually concerned with?

Robotis supply both demo motion files and programs using their task language that will run a humanoid robot and include walking, standing/getting up after a fall, turning left and right etc.

They also provide the tools to let you develop your own motions and code in a windows based GUI. Including the ability to pose the robot and then snapshot this as part of the motion (typically refered to as catch and play)

So I think you are pretty well covered with both demo motion files and the ability to create your own :)

In the strictest definition of running probably not (running is defined as both feet being off the ground at one time but in a controlled manner. It wasn't many years ago when a robot meeting this challenge made global headlines). Having said that there are some quick walks.#

As for dynamic, again I am not positive what you wish to achieve. The bioloid does include a gyro that can be mixed into the walking gait under program control to make the motion more dynamic.

If you can share what you wish to achieve overall, I am happy to give you my opinion as to whether the bioloid can do it.

thanks for reply!
i wonder if there would be some videos of bioloid basic motions!?
i have seen one bioloid premium walk which was really fast and the owner said the motion was in basic bioloid premium one!
I'm searching for that to use and also develop it to dynamic version!
do you know anything about all bioloid walk motions which are available on the internet?

Well you can download the RoboPlus software from the robotis site and it includes the motion editor, so you can actually play with the motion files. The motion editor download is here at the bottom of the page.

The motion files for the different droids are in the eManual so if you are looking at the 18 DOF humanoid type it it would be here under Default Information.

As for video I think if you search youtube for Bioloid Humanoid you should find something

I am not aware of a simulator, but you can open the motion files in the motion editor and review the motions using the robot pose feature that includes a graphical representation of the robot.

phpBB [media]

This is my bioloid premium and this is the default program. It can walk around the house nicely on its own. I have done a lot of work on it. You can see my other videos.

You can just search for bioloid premium on youtube. You can get a sense of what it can do. Hope that help with you decision.

Congratulations on deciding to get a Bioloid. I believe is the best robot in the price range and am very happy with mine.

If you are still waiting for your kit to arrive then you can install roboplus on your computer to have a look at it:

http://support.robotis.com/en/software/ ... s_main.htm

here's the online guide for it:

Enjoy your new robot!
