Merry Xmas. I think it is about this time last year I started shopping for my first robot. Now I have two

I like some of your musical vids and some of your talking ones Bob. If it is instructional I prefer talkies but if its just to show features without the instructional element then music alone is fine.

Also, I like instructional ones that show text as well as having a soundtrack, thats so I can watch them at work and get the gist of things without having the sound on and disturbing my colleagues or alerting my boss to my roboslacking

You have picked some interesting choices for soundtracks in the past...I liked the "Clint Eastwood"

What software do you use for editing and putting them together?

For the movie I use the new iMovie for Mac.

Yes I meant the vids not the robots - I sort of knew you were a roboplus user as you can see it on screen in some of your youtube posts.

I use roboplus too but when my roboard arrives I will have to use an alternative.

Im comfortable with roboplus as its the only thing I have used for robotics so far and Im kind of getting used to it, but it is rather quirky dont you think...

When I can get a dv camera I will do some vids but I'll have to use movie maker to edit them. Using all my spare cash on robot parts at the moment and a dv camera is waaayyyyyyyyyy down the list

Yes,

I find the roboplus / controller connection slow. When you save a motion in roboplus motion, it freezes for 1 minute or so. The new version seems better but still not good enough.

Also when the robot falls the connection gets disconnected. Sometimes the connection can get disconnected for no apparent reason. I think the roboplus software can be made a bit more tolerant.

The combinationation of these problems get to me sometimes. A more robust connection, plus maybe a wireless connection would be ideal.

I bought a camera last year after I got my first robot. I think it is good to have good resolution for good youtube video. Then one that works with low light which my camera is lacking right now.
