I'm a new Bioloid Premium Kit owner and I'm trying to use the RoboPlus softwares with Linux (Ubuntu 10.10 for me).

Now I didn't find a solution yet, but I've already tried some things:

First I installed the RoboPlus softwares with the CD included in the kit. As it's a win program I used Wine.
This is what I tried to launch RoboPlusMotion.exe:

- alone: it doesn't work at all, as expectedly

- launched with wine: same, nothing

- I installed .Net3.5 as required in the Robotis site: for that I had to install first dotnet20, dotnet30 and then downloaded the 3.5 version and installed it. Despite some errors, the exe program launched !!! but is unusable :(

- launched with mono (2.6.7 linux version): nothing but errors

- launched with mono (2.8.2 win version): same ...

So for now, the best solution is to install first .NET3.5 with wine, but much improvements are needed.

Did somebody try something else or have any new ideas?
I need help :!:

(Please don't tell me to install windoze, it would be too much easy ;)
