Hi,

I have some problems with connecting my CM-5 with BehaviorControl Programmer after using Robot Terminal. Before using Robot Terminal I could download DemoExample to CM-5. When I used Robot Terminal i did next steps:

- connect CM-5 with robot terminal holding #
- then type command LD to transmit file
- File->Transmit file and I pick one of examples files.hex

Now it looks like nothing is happening and on CM-5 only POWER led is on :( ..

I don't understand what is wrong :(:(:(:(

If anybody had the same problem, or knows how to fix this error i would be very thankful.

Hi Amaya,

The firmware (file.hex) you loaded is probably no good. You need to reload the original firmware in its place.

Have you tried to restore the original firmware using RoboPlus Manage?

I have one question, I didn't get any CD with this RoboPlus Manager. Does this come with Bioloid CD or... ? Because I used for my problem Robot Terminal to reload original firmware. :? :? :?

Hi Amaya,

RoboPlus is available for download at the Robotis site on their downloads page.
http://www.robotis.com/xe/download_en

The firmware restore function in RoboPlus Manage does just the same process as you have now done in terminal mode. It connects to the bootloader then issues an LD command and transmits the appropriate .hex file. It is designed to let less technically savvy roboteers experiment with embedded programming without having to know about the bootloader.

But, if you are already comfortable using terminal mode and have the necessary .hex file(s) then RoboPlus firmware restore will just slow you down.
