What level of soccer do you want the Bioloid to play ?

A standard Bioloid with Zigbee controller will get you started for remote control soccer. You may want to add some kicks and shuffle movements.

If you want to go autonomous you will need a camera, and this takes a lot more processing. You may be able to use Havimo, but results will be very limited if you stick with CM5.

IMU is less important since soccer pitch is usually flat.

If you want full autonomous you should be looking to use a much more powerfull controller.

I don't think PIC is going to help you. There are a range of PICs from much lower power to higher power than the ATMega128 of the CM5, but their top end is limited, as is the current Atmel range.

We still don't know your objective, but if the CM5 won't do it, then shift straight to an embedded Linux controller.
