I just found it browsing the Korean "side":

List with all the parts to upgrade a Bioloid comprehensive to Premium

It's in the Korean "side" of their website, but the code parts are in Latin alphabet. For the rest of the text you can use, for example, Chrome and its automatic translation.

Hi siempre.aprendiendo

Thank you for sharing this. (fyi direct link to the english translation can be found here http://translate.google.com/translate?s ... ko%2F40978 )

From looking at the list it really looks like the part list refers to the Oficial "Robotis Comprehensive to PREMIUM Upgrade kit" which they made available shortly - and for a very short time - after the release of the PREMIUM kit. They later retired the product at least from EU/US market.

The main difference I see in this part list compared to the RoboSavvy Upgrade Kits - and that was also present in their original Upgrade Kit - is that they're including a complete New Frameset (and cable holders which are supported on the new frames): you get an all new kit where you will only re use the SMPS, the Serial Cable and the servos.
All the rest would be new.

While this is a very interesting offer it made the Original Upgrade Kit quite expensive (at least in our opinion). I don't recall the exact price but I remember that doing the math the cost of a Comprehensive + Oficial Upgrade Kit (including everything in the Korean website) you'd end up with a Grand Total that was way, way over the cost a brand new PREMIUM Kit.

Because the Oficial Kit was retired from the US/EU market and because we believe there is still great value in the Comprehensive Kits and value in Upgrading them to the latest Technology, we've worked to create our own version of the Upgrade Kit bundles which we're currently offering.

Our versions reuse some more parts of the Comprehensive (including the frames) to offer a more competitive price, especially in terms of price/performance: they're thought to offer a lower cost than the original Upgrade Kit from Robotis (which included all the parts in the Korean website).

We're open to suggestions and/or adding or modifying our kit contents in the Upg Kits if users find it important.
Let us know your thoughts as we'd be happy to adjust to your requirements.

Regards
Pedro.

May be it's because I come from Mindstorms, but I love to have as many parts/frames as possible (I always run short on some frame), so it was great that Robotis included another set of frames :)

I think your upgrade is very interesting, because upgrading to CM-510 you will get:

- add up to 6 sensors + gyro, and put it anywhere on your robot they are not physically integrated as AX-S1.

- CM-510 have more memory and more support to be programed in C

- The battery is better, lighter and detached from the controller, so you have more options to the weight distribution

- The integration of the controller with the other parts it's more flexible than the previous one

I get your point :)

Robotis offered the Comprehensive Frameset which was quite a cool way to get a large number of parts (frames) to play around but I believe they are also moving towards discontinuing it and instead offering the different frame models individually.

We know Robotis is planning to re align their catalog for 2012 (ie add accessories for individual sale, remove some bundles, ...) so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm getting a bit off topic by now but one of the things people have requested are individual components of Darwin such as the CM730 and the Grippers they have on Catalog which they don't offer separately for the time being (in the case of the Grippers they're not being offered at all).
Let's see if the 2012 catalogue brings some exciting news.

Pedro.
