It seems that Robotis is launching in Korea a new kit/box called Bioloid STEM (S Science, T Technology, E Engineering, M Mathematics) (support page)

(All the links are to Korean pages, but viewing the photos and automatic translations are enough to understand it :) )

Such a speed, it seems that AX-12W is better for wheel mode than join mode, compared to AX-12A. But AX-12A is better for join mode, because AX-12W speed for join mode is slower. Seems a shame they did not incorporate gyro and accelerometer, it would have added less than $5 to the component cost, and made a much more valuable controller.

Compared with the AX-18A and the 12A, what so special about the new motor? Is the encoder an optical one? According to the support site, the torque of the new AX-12W is 0.2Nm (2kgfcm). It seems to be way too small compared with the others. Is there a typo?
