Hi all

We've received the Official brochure for the Dynamixel Pro Line.

Image

We've scanned and now post it bellow (you can click the images for a high res version):

Some Highlights from the Brochure:
- RS485 and CAN interface

- Position Control, Torque based Control and Speed based Control.

- Up to 39Nm of torque under continuous operation (this is ~400kgf.cm !) on the higher end model (H54-200-S500-R)

- 1.000 pulse incremental encoder before gear reduction (in a gear ratio of 304:1, this means 304 thousand (!) pulses for a full rotation of the outer shaft!).
It's not clear if the information from the incremental encoder is available through the protocol though or if it's just internally by the firmware.

The resolution on the outer shaft (absolute encoder) is 4096.

Despite sharing the Dynamixel name with the other servos, the Dynamixel Pro seems like a completely new line of servos, designed from the ground up.

Pedro.

Which gear drive is best for humanoid robots above 10kg ?
