Considering purchasing Crustcrawler AX-12A or AX-18A arm

Hi,
Hope this is posted in correct forum.
As per title I'm considering purchasing the Crustcrawler AX-12A or AX-18A arm. Albeit expensive they look of good build quality.
I would really appreciate any feedback existing owners can provide. I'm concerned by the "almost dead" community in the Crustcrawler forum and whether any issue of the arm contributes to this, or whether it is a product at end of line.
For comparison I've looked at the Lynxmotion arms which seem pretty good, cheaper and has a far more active support community.
Thoughts appreciated, many thanks.

I suppose you mean Robotis AX-12 or AX-18
I use AX-12 since 2007 and they are great, I have not found a servo with its features for less money. There is an interesting community around them, this forum is one of the finest meeting points, and as you can see (above links) Robotis offer a lot of information. They just released a new open source, powerful and very cheap controller, CM-900. There are even alternative hardware providers, like this one
You can wacth here some of my videos (wood and other structure parts were created by my friend Pepe)

Thanks for the reply. Crustcrawler make the arms which utilise the ax12a or ax18a dynamixel actuators.
I've been reading up all evening on these actuators, sound like a great bit of hobby gear. I was originally considering an arm with rc servos but think I'll take this more interesting step up. Probably will invest in a set to begin with - looking at 6 of the mx64t. I would hope to harvest these after my rover project to try out a hexapod.
