Hello there robomaniacs! xD

I want buy a robot from this site, but im new on this, what kind of robot its easy to start?

I just to spend time on it. I'm thinking about Robonova or KHR-2HD.
But i saw other less expensive. =/

The parts of the robot is like default stuff? For example, if i want to buy the KRG-3 Gyro Sensor, its only work on KHR? The same with Radio control, servor, sensor, cables, its default for anyrobot? B'coz i think that update the actual robot its more cheap that buying a newone!!

thanx for the help :D
and srry about my poor english

The best robot to buy depends on what you want to do with it, how much you are willing to spend, and how good you are with electronics and programming.

For beginners, a cheap robot that is fun to play with is the I-Sobot. It comes fully assembled, but making modifications and adding gyros and sensors would be very difficult. The Robophilo is also less expensive, but allows you more ability to make modifications.

More advanced users would consider the Robonova, and Kondo KHR-2HV for more money. They take some effort to build, but allow you greater freedom to add modifications. If you want to make more than just a humanoid robot, you could consider the Bioloid or the RoboBuilder.

Finally, if you want something that is cutting edge technology with beautiful exterior shells you could try a Manoi. But these are really expensive and the instructions are in Japanese.

You can find information about all of these robots at http://www.RobotServicesGroup.com/RobotsPage1.html

We even have a survey you can take to help you decide which robot is right for you Click here

Hi resetme

You may also want to look into a relatively new product: Robobuilder 5710 (+ Accelerometer if you wish).

It's got good looks, attractive pricing, good tech specs, is easy to assemble and comes with:
- IR remote control
- 16 DOF
- easy to add more servos
- programmed out of the box
- easy to program with motionbuilder and action builder
- you can also program it in C if/once you have more advanced knowledge of ATMEGA 128
- Distance sensor
- Sound senor
- Optional bluetooth wireless communication
- Optional accelerometer. The accelerometer is also usable as a tool to determine robot's position without the need for a gyro.

In my opinion the Robobuilder levels side-by-side with the Robonova except that the Robobuilder is more recenet, technically more advanced and includes some more stuff out of the box:
- Distance sensor and sound sensor included
- UART communication with the servos
- servos have PID control
- Much easier assembly and modification

In terms of materials, the Robonova has metal brackets where the Robobuilder uses plastic joints (metal brackets optionally available in September).
Typically Robobuilder is a broad platform that suits from total begginners to intermediate+ users.
