I am building a 1/4 scale dune buggy that will be radio controlled and need some advice on how to accomplish this. The car weighs about 60 lbs and will be powered by an 24V electric motor driving both rear tires. I was thinking of controlling the steering with a 12V linear actuator. I would love to have a hand held remote that allows me to control a variable speed for the motor and simply an extend and retract for the actuator. I have looked at the sidewinder amplifier from robot power but don't know what a good receiver and controller would be to go with it. Or is there a simpler or cheaper way to do this. Please be specific as I am new to this type of electronics . Thanks
