Hi,
It seem there are still people interested in RB1000
I hope this writing may be interested for you:
well, personally I owned all of the 3 robots above,
up to now, RB1000 is the bot I like most.
KHR2 is under engineering and testing.
RB1000 (Japan) has the same brother, Graupner (Germany):
http://www.graupner-robotics.de/
What I experienced is that its mechanical design is cool and I admire the design shape and born-in 19 degree of freedom.
my comments for those interested are:
1) It is more difficult to assemby than then other bots above
2) It do not has the learning feature of RN or KHR
you have to adjust it using the RobovieMaker software slider
but, anyway, the software is good and easy to use.
3) 19 DOF make it more difficult to adjust the motion gait, I should say,
it has a more advanced mechanical structure, however, if you are
not aware of the loading of the servo during adjustment, the servo will
burn out for a long time loading (even though it has 9.2kgcm)
4) Good news are that exact replacement of the original Digital Servo
RB581 (9.2kgcm, 0.11s/60 deg. 5250 yen) had come into market,
It is RBS5801 (0.13s/60, 17kgcm, 8400 yen)
I will certainly buy it for my next trip to Japan in the future.
5) It is not recommended for inexperienced robot builder
(My Personal opinion)
Here are Some photos and movies:

In the present time my RB1000 is under modification of direct Gyro control board with relay instread of CPU sampling
and XBee Wireless RS232 (3.3v circuit resign)
