It's the same robot. Actually the whole RB series comes from VStone. As of last night the JR website didn't show anything about the RB-300 or RB-2000 series, but all the information's available on the VStone site.
Here's a photo of the Robovie-I I took this afternoon at the Sanwa booth at the show:
Sanwa provides the RC remotes for the VStone robots.
It's just my personal feeling, but the VStone versions have better styling. The plastic body cover and metail finish/colors on the frame parts looks much better to me on the VStone robots, even though the mechanical design is the same. Perhaps it's the JR Robotics blue that turns me off a bit.
The robot's a lot thicker than I expected from the online photos, and the way that it tilts it's front plate to the side when it tries to kick seems really odd.
The JR folks mentioned that an upgrade kit is in the works to convert the RB-300 to the RB-2000 configuration.
