I'm developing a free 2D mobile robot simulator. It is easy to use and to program (based on Lua). You can download it from http://www.personalrobotics.nl.

Very nice, I spent the last half hour putting in 45 degree walls to keep him out of the corners.

Nice webiste, I was amazed at the level of interest in robotics in NL and the RoboLudens video was a real eye-opener.
